Integrity Toys Gloss Convention 2014: part V - The convention collection

Each IT convention of course has its own exclusive collection that attendees can either pre-order complete (sight unseen) months before the actual event or wait until they see it in real life during the convention. Let's see the dolls that make up this years line-up, in all their disco-gloss-glam-glory.

Item # 91355
Nocturnal Glow
Véronique Perrin® Dressed Doll
The 2014 Integrity Toys Convention: Gloss
Limited Edition of 500 Dolls

A very beautiful version of Vero, with warm, neutral toned make up. Not sure about the dress, it looks too busy on the top part. The earrings look weird too, like misplaced cuffs.

Item # 91356
Grandiose
Natalia Fatalé™ Dressed Doll
The 2014 Integrity Toys Convention: Gloss
Limited Edition of 500 Dolls

Natalia looks beautiful here, she's always at her best when she's in the more obviously Latina colouring. The red dress and cape look very Halston 70s by way of last year's cape+evening dress outfits we were seeing on the red carpet.

Item # 91357
Nightshade
Kyori Sato™ Dressed Doll
The 2014 Integrity Toys Convention: Gloss
Limited Edition of 500 Dolls

Nighshade Kyori is wearing a jumpsuit but the doll looks a lot like previous releases of her, this time with loose hair instead of ponytail. No match for last year's Dangerous To Know.

Item # 91358
Cold-Shoulder
Eugenia Perrin Frost™ Dressed Doll
The 2014 Integrity Toys Convention: Gloss
Limited Edition of 500 Dolls

At first sight, this one reminded me of In Full Regalia simplified. Upon seeing more photos I tend to think of her as Pencil Me In with a re-root. Love the dress, very YSL in its asymmetrical cut.

Item # 91359
Adorned
Vanessa Perrin™ Dressed Doll
The 2014 Integrity Toys Convention: Gloss
Limited Edition of 500 Dolls

The star of this year's Gloss collection is undoubtedly Vanessa. Using the 3.0 sculpt (unlike the 1.0 centerpiece), she has again a combination of dress+cape outfit but in a much better and more intricate style than Natalia's.

Item # 76020
La Ville Lumiere (The City of Lights)
Simonetta Bertorelli™ Dressed Doll
The 2014 Integrity Toys Convention: Gloss
Limited Edition of 600 Dolls

This is a new character for the Victoire Roux line, the first to be added so far. She's supposed to be an Italian actress and friend of Victoire's. The sculpt is the old Alyssa from the early Integrity playline. Glamourous outfit (in the proper era of course and not like the rest of the 70s themed collectin), but I am not that sure about the doll, at least in this version. I was expecting someone resembling maybe one of the famous Italian divas like Sofia Lauren. Will see how she evolves in future versions.

Item # PP075
Dark Moon
Poppy Parker™ Dressed Doll
The 2014 Integrity Toys Convention: Gloss
Limited Edition of 500 Dolls

Of course an IT convention collection would not be complete without a Poppy Parker doll, much more so the year of her 5th anniversary. Dressed in the 70s style that defines the rest of the collection, she frankly looks a bit weird to me, unlike the two Poppies from the luncheon. Too many things going on. And this is not one of the happiest moments in the 70s. I like the dress a lot though.

  1. Veronique is a favorite, and this version of her is a welcome addition. I do agree about the earrings; something flatter would have worked better. I snapped her up pretty quickly. :-)

Natalia may be my favorite of this lot. Love her coloring, hair, and outfit (especially the cape and cuff). She was a must-buy as well.

Will there be another Kyori more beautiful than Dangerous to Know? Probably not, but I do like this one with her peek-a-boo Veronica Lake hair. Seriously considering her.

I find Eugenia's hair an interesting variation, and I like her face. I passed on the "safari" line waiting to see what would come out for the convention, and am currently weighing this Eugenia against City Prowl. Any thoughts?

While I agree that Vanessa's dress is amazing, I'm not sure about her face. Perhaps it will grow on me enough to buy her.

Simonetta screams classic European movie star to me. Normally I'm not a fan of pulled back hair because the hairline looks too severe. Adding the braid turned it into something much more stylish. She should be quite fun to redress, particularly in very glamorous outfits.

This Poppy is a pass. I might look for the outfit on its own. What is the dress material?
